Breaking Silos — Integrating Injection and Mold Maintenance

This month we formally kicked off the integration of our tooling shop. Until now metal and plastic mold maintenance lived in separate spaces, slowing down communication and parts handover. With the redesign, both lines move into one shared area with common precision equipment and a unified parts store, so cross-discipline projects can be done at a single workstation.

Expected outcomes: • Average mold-maintenance response time reduced by 40%; • Machine utilisation up roughly 15%; • 20% less floor space tied up by spare-parts inventory.

The project is part of SUPO's longer-term smart manufacturing roadmap.
